Get out of the way, Tesla Model S! 2023 Genesis G80 Electrified for the Price, It’s One of the Most Affordable Luxury Electric Vehicles

The next Genesis EV, due next month in the form of the Electrified G80, tops the lineup of large luxury sedans at a staggering $145,000 before travel expenses.
That makes the Electrified variant almost $60,000 more expensive than the entry-level G80 2.5T (starting at $85,191) and about 50 percent more expensive than the G80 3.5T AWD (starting at $101,191).
However, while the more affordable G80 comes with turbocharged petrol engines of 224kW/422Nm and 279kW/530Nm respectively, the electric G80 doesn’t blow a single tailpipe thanks to the twin engines.
Equipped with one for each axle, the Electrified G80 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h with 272 kW/700 Nm of torque in 4.9 seconds.
The 87.2 kWh battery-powered Genesis all-electric sedan can travel 520 km on a single charge, and its 350 kW DC fast-charging capability can restore 10-80% battery power in just 22 minutes.
The electric G80 also comes standard with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), which allows the luxury sedan to power home appliances on the go, and Active Noise Control-Road (ANC-R) noise cancellation technology for the cabin and electronically controlled preview. suspension (Preview ECS), use the front cam to adjust the damping for a smoother ride.
A cutting-edge electric vehicle, the new G80 also features regenerative braking that can be adjusted via paddles on the steering wheel and a solar roof that replaces the panoramic sunroof.
Inside, the flagship G80 is available in black, brown, blue or white, with recycled materials and Nappa leather for the seats.
Buyers will also find adjustable ambient lighting, second-row sunshades, three-zone climate control, remote start, power front seats, a heated steering wheel, heated front and rear outboard seats, and a power trunk as standard.
Media control is a 14.5″ screen with wireless smartphone charger, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay support, a 19-speaker sound system and digital radio, and rear seat passengers can also use two 9.2″ screens to control some functions.
In terms of safety, the G80 EV gets 10 airbags, blind spot monitoring, driver attention warning, traffic sign recognition, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane keeping assist, front and rear parking sensors, rear cross traffic alert, safe exit assist, tire pressure monitor and surround view camera.
The Genesis Electrified G80 will compete against the Porsche Taycan (starting at $158,100) and the yet-to-be-released Tesla Model S, as well as the upcoming Mercedes-Benz EQE and upcoming plus size BMW i7. which will carry twice as much as the South Korean sedan, priced at $298,900.
The electrified G80 will join the electrified GV70 midsize SUV and GV60 crossover that will hit local dealerships later this year as part of the Genesis EV launch.
