To learn more about Amazon devices, check out our roundups of the best Amazon Alexa and Echo speakers, as well as the best smart speakers.
Amazon’s second-generation Echo Buds (8/10, WIRED recommends) are one of our favorite budget headphones. They come with built-in Alexa, a wireless charging case, and a variety of ear tips so you can find the right model for you.
If you’d rather stick with the Amazon ecosystem, this is our top choice for streaming sticks. It supports most major streaming apps but primarily promotes Prime shows and movies. The included voice remote also supports Alexa voice commands on top of the usual set of TV control buttons. The 4K Max is the most powerful version of the Fire TV Stick, with a faster processor and Wi-Fi 6 support. But if you’re willing to sacrifice power, the regular Fire TV Stick 4K costs $25 ($25 off). If your TV doesn’t support 4K and you need a 1080p streaming stick, you can get the Fire TV Stick Lite for $15 ($15 off).
The Kindle Paperwhite is most of us’ favorite Kindle. It’s water resistant, has a brighter screen than other Kindles, and has a roomy 6.8-inch screen. This standard model comes with 8 GB of storage, enough to store approximately 5,000 of your favorite e-books. If you’re short on space, you can also purchase the Signature Edition for $130 ($60 off). There’s also the Paperwhite for Kids, which costs $105 ($56 off) and comes with a one-year Amazon Kids+ subscription that includes many free books, games, and videos.
When we tried the Kindle Oasis, we liked its warm, adjustable lighting, fast processor, and sleek aluminum frame. Normally we’d say it’s still too expensive for any practical reason, but with such a large discount, it’s dangerously close to reasonable.
We’re still testing the new Fire HD 8, but it’s better than its predecessor with a faster processor and thinner design, while maintaining a compact design and a USB-C port for charging. Ideal for reading e-books, watching videos and casual web browsing.
The standard Amazon Echo (8/10, WIRED recommends) is a handy tool for setting timers, asking simple questions, and playing music. It impressed us with room-filling sound and a 3.5mm output for connecting to a larger sound system. However, it is slightly larger than previous Echo models, so keep that in mind.
Perhaps some speakers are most useful when connected to a screen. The second generation Echo Show 8 is one of our favorite smart displays, especially for those who love Alexa. It is perfect for the kitchen where you can read a recipe or watch a movie while cooking. If you need more screen real estate, the Echo Show 10 also retails for $170 ($80 off), while the smaller Echo Show 5 is $35 ($50 off).
This Echo Show is a little different from the others. Designed for wall mounting, it can display information such as upcoming home events, notes, news, and weather. We haven’t tested it yet, but if it looks like something your family could use, this is the lowest price we’ve found.
If you don’t care too much about the sound quality of your smart speaker, you can save a lot of money with the Echo Dot. It’s smaller, has simpler speakers (though they’re still good), and can do everything a full-size Echo can. Amazon is also selling the Kids Edition for $30 ($30 off) with a cute design and a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+.
Gift cards are simple fillers for hard-to-find items on your list. Amazon has several options, each with $5 to $15 Amazon credit, all of which explain exactly what you’ll get in the “Special Offers and Promotions” section of the page.
We know you don’t want to do this so soon after Thanksgiving. Even if you’re already a Grubhub+ customer, this gives you a $10 discount on orders over $25. If not, Prime members get a year of membership for free.
If you’re an Android phone user, the Samsung Buds2 Pro (9/10, WIRED recommends) is one of the best options for mobile audio. They’re light and comfortable to wear, and the battery life is great – five hours with noise cancellation on, 7.5 hours without). But the companion app is only available for Android, so iPhone users won’t get the added bonus of controlling the equalizer and finding lost headphones.
Need to completely overwhelm the world around you? Bose QuietComfort over-ear headphones provide excellent noise cancellation. They’re as comfortable as any other Bose device and they have great battery life. If you’re more into in-ear headphones, the QuietComfort Earbuds II are on sale for up to $249 ($50 off).
The design of the Marshall amplifier is iconic and you can get it in mini form here in one of our favorite Bluetooth speakers. It looks cool, but it sounds great, smooth, balanced and sophisticated. It is also durable and splash proof. For $50, you can get a small Marshall speaker with Marshall Emberton for $100 ($50 off). That one is more portable.
Blue Microphones has built a reputation for high quality sound from USB microphones, and the Snowball is one of our favorite budget options. This is great for those who work from home if you want to sound better in all those Zoom meetings.
These ColorBuds by 1More (8/10, WIRED recommended) fit better than any earphone we’ve tried. Finding the right headphones that won’t fall out of your ears can be tricky, but if you’ve ever struggled with it, this could be the one to help end your struggle. And they are very cheap!
We love the Beats range, and the Flex earphones are best for iPhone owners looking to spend under $100. They come with a neck strap for convenience – just remove the earbuds from your ears and let them hang when you need them! They sound great and have up to 12 hours of battery life.
The biggest disadvantage of Bluetooth speakers is the need to charge them. This speaker from Shower Power solves this problem in a very ingenious way: it uses the flow of water from the shower head to generate electricity to keep itself charged. You can also remove the speaker and move it from room to room, but you just have to be aware that the sound quality is nothing special.
The Flip 6 wasn’t included in our roundup of the best Bluetooth speakers, but it’s still a solid speaker and we generally like all things JBL. It is waterproof and has a battery life of up to 12 hours. If you’re looking to save money, the old Flip 5 is also on sale for $70 ($30 off).
Remember when we all had little gray computer speakers to listen to our Limewire downloads? Well, these SteelSeries speakers (8/10, WIRED recommends) are a much-needed upgrade. They have incredible sound and the software allows you to fine-tune the settings. You can connect them to your rig in a number of ways, and there are built-in RGB LEDs.
The beautifully designed Beosound A1 speaker is one of our favorites, but it’s often pricey. It dropped earlier during this sale, but it’s still one of the best prices we’ve seen. This is a portable speaker that delivers excellent sound quality despite its small size.
The Back Bay Tempo 30 headphones (8/10, recommended by WIRED) impressed us with how good they are for the price. They feature powerful bass sound, eight hours of battery life and noise canceling technology at a low price. Especially with this deal.
Wired contributor Lauryn Strump says she takes this portable speaker to parties, festivals and camping trips. It is waterproof and very loud, and it also has a handle and a detachable shoulder strap.
The SteelSeries Arctis 9 is a comfortable headset that connects wirelessly to your PC, PS4 or PS5 and provides up to 20 hours of battery life. The Xbox version of this headset is one of our best wireless gaming headsets, but the PC/PlayStation version is also a great deal, especially at this price point.
The Logitech G735 Wireless Headphones deliver detailed sound, a comfortable, lightweight fit, and the typical color scheme of gaming gear. Pure white, with glowing LEDs around each ear cup, they look sleek and light.

If you’re not a blender fan, this might change your mind. What it lacks in the bells and whistles of smart gadgets, it makes up for in raw power. It comes in a 64 oz container and its stainless steel blades spin so fast they can even heat ingredients if you so desire. Plus, it’s durable, probably longer than most other kitchen gadgets you have.
The Cuisinart cookware set is more affordable than the All-Clad, and you’ll even get an extra frying pan for your hassle. This 10-piece set contains six pots and pans and four lids. The stainless steel construction is meant to last a lifetime and the kit comes with a proper warranty.
Every kitchen needs a solid base of pots and pans, preferably something like this collection of stainless steel cookware. The seven-piece All-Clad set includes a 10-inch skillet, a 3-liter pot, a 3-liter skillet, and an 8-liter pot, plus lids for the last three.
If you only need one pan, this pan from Oxo is a great choice. We tested the smaller 8″ version and liked it, and this one should work just as well, but with a bit more headroom.
A good cast iron skillet can be an important helper in the kitchen. This one from Lodge is our top pick for buying a pre-seasoned pan. It’s virtually indestructible, heat-resistant and has plenty of room for your favorite meals.
There are few kitchen gadgets more coveted than the KitchenAid Stand Mixer, and this mini version with a 3.5 liter bowl is one of the cheapest ways to get one. Aside from the lower capacity compared to the 5 quart model, it’s pretty much the same powerful mixing tool that speeds up your work. You can lift this lid to access the bowl without removing it.
Wired reviewer Brenda Stoilar loves this waffle iron. She uses it to make chocolate wafers, cinnamon bun wafers, and TikTok-style shuffles. This is an easy and enjoyable way to make multiple mini waffles at once.
Toasters aren’t usually worth discussing, but the Balmuda toaster (8/10, recommends WIRED) caught our attention. It retains moisture well, looks beautiful in the kitchen and, most importantly for a toaster: stable.
AeroPress Go (9/10, recommended by WIRED) is a great way to make coffee at home and on the go. It is very light and has one of the best tasting cups of any portable cup we have tried. While it may take some experimentation to make coffee exactly the way you want it, true coffee lovers will enjoy fine-tuning their technique.
The heavy duty Java is our favorite hand sander. The handle is smart. It folds up to give you more leverage while sanding and you can then fold it up, screw it on and use it as a hook to hang your Java when you’re done sanding. Java can handle any grind we’ve tried, from coarse French press to fine espresso.
We haven’t tested this French press yet, but Fellow makes some of our favorite coffee and tea sets, so we can say with no hesitation that this would be a good cup of coffee. Fellow has some of the best and most durable water bottles and beer jugs on the market.
County Line Kitchen is a family business in Wisconsin. His cold brew machine uses an old, reliable 2-quart jug and a stainless steel sieve basket for brewing. You fill the basket with plenty of coffee grounds, slowly pour up to 64 ounces of cold water, and leave it for 24 hours. When finished, remove the colander and pour with the lid on.
This is Vitamix’s entry-level blender, but it still has a powerful 2-horsepower motor that can churn the hardest nuts into a creamy paste. If you’re looking for a durable blender but don’t want to invest in a car for the perks, this is a good place to start.
This smart blender is an updated version of the popular Vitamix 750. It is smaller but has a touch screen and wireless connectivity. The base automatically determines the size of the upper container and adjusts the mixing program accordingly.
If stainless steel cookware is too rich for you, this All-Clad non-stick cookware set is a great option. It comes with 8″, 10″ and 12″ pans and includes lids for 10″ and 12″ pans.
One Touch by Mr. Coffee is our top choice for latte and cappuccino makers. It can make the best espresso out of just about anything – we even tested it with standard Maxwell House coffee and it made an acceptable espresso. However, it won’t give you the same rich flavor as more expensive machines like Breville cans.
Mattress deals aren’t usually as good as they sound, but it’s actually not bad for a mattress we like – it’s still $949 on Layla’s site. This full foam option has one hard side and one stiffer side so you can find what works best for you. There are also other discounted beds.
While we haven’t tested this particular Hisense TV, we’ve tested several previous Hisense models and overall we like what we see. This model is the entry-level model in the Hisense lineup and shares some key features with more expensive models such as Dolby Vision HDR and a built-in Amazon Fire TV.
